    A new opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Database/Web Applications Developer with skills in system administration to join our team of highly motivated Database development and Data Management staff in supporting a growing portfolio of clinical trials in important priority areas for the NHS.

    The focus of the role will be to lead in the design, development, maintenance and support of new and existing database applications for clinical research, using the latest Web-development technologies (including Java, PHP and Python-based technologies with MySQL, Postgres and Oracle). It will also involve oversight for system administration and maintenance activities for all dedicated Web servers and applications supporting clinical research (in liaison with our IT providers), as well as playing a key role on data security and information governance.

    You will be degree educated in a related field or have professional qualifications with an in-depth knowledge and substantial experience with a proven track record in database and Web development across the life cycle is essential.   Experience of administering/maintaining Web servers and deploying Web applications will also be required for the role.
