    Our 2 main sponsors (one Trust and one Uni) are getting more and more reluctant to sponsor trials where the CI is not locally employed. I can understand their issue in that as R&D/Research Governance staff they have no ‘hold’ over the individual to comply with regs, sponsor procedures etc as they are not their employer, but there has to be a way around this issue.

    Has anyone else come across this issue, and if you have how have you solved it?
