Group Remit
Our primary aim is to develop and share best practices to promote high-quality, effective trial management in member CTUs. To do this, we have looked at the day-to-day operational, governance, and strategic issues faced by trial management colleagues across the Network and used these data to support discussions with regulators and other stakeholders to create targeted projects to provide tangible benefits.
As part of our activities we:
- Hold an annual meeting for CTU representatives with invited speakers from the HRA, NHS R&D and others, as well as roundtables, and networking opportunities.
- Host webinars to promote some of the exciting and novel work taking place across our members and the Network, as well as share helpful information about funding opportunities.
- Provide an email forum though which trial management representatives can access peer support.
- Collaborate with regulators and other groups working in relevant areas such as the HRA’s Trial Set-up Partnership Board and the UK Trial Managers Network (UKTMN).
Ongoing Work
We have a number of active workstreams looking at:
- Trial set-up and delivery timelines.
- Training and peer-support opportunities.
- Appropriate usage of Business Intelligence software packages.
