Group Remit
The Group is committed to providing a strong voice for member CTUs at a national policy level. Membership includes those Directing or members of senior leadership from Clinical Trials Units with depth and breadth of knowledge relating to all areas of trials activity, ideally placed to represent the wider membership at a policy level.
As part of our activities we:
- Represent the views of the Network and member CTUs on high-level national committees.
- Cultivate effective relationships with regulators, funding bodies, and sponsor offices.
- Respond to national and international consultations on behalf of our member trials units.
- Work with the Network’s Executive and Operations Groups to identify emerging areas of interest.
Ongoing Work
As well as on-going representation of academic non-commercial clinical trials at a national level, where necessary the group also issue outputs. Current areas of focus include issues around the appropriate collection and use of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion data in clinical trials.
Outputs
Information on some of the group’s consultation responses can be found here.
Registered CTU staff members can also access an extensive library of recordings and materials from past meetings and webinars through the Secretariat.
