Dear IS Group Members,
Newcastle Clinical Trials unit is currently reviewing the process of documenting PI oversight of data. We’ve previously used an eSig feature within databases to have the PI log in and digitally sign but with limited success. We’ve heard that some CTUs are moving away from this method and hoped some of you may be willing to share any alternative methods used or if you use eSig, any tips on how to use it effectively as getting PIs to log into the database can be difficult.
Julia Phillipson ( Julia.phillipson@ncl.ac.uk) one the of the Data Managers at Newcastle is leading on this and would be grateful for any advice.
