    Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has experience in developing transparency information for children participating in research – the GDPR says children also have a right to be informed and that this needs to be in suitable language. A related guidance document (from the Article 29 Working Party) also says “For the avoidance of doubt however, WP29 recognises that with very young or pre-literate children, transparency measures may also be addressed to holders of parental responsibility given that such children will, in most cases, be unlikely to understand even the most basic written or non-written messages concerning transparency”

Obviously HRA suggested text is directed at adults so isn’t suitable.

Has anyone had to think this through for their trial(s)? It would be interesting to hear experiences if so.

    Will
