The Manchester CTU is an essential core resource for clinical and academic investigators and provides a wide range of services supporting the conduct of investigator-initiated clinical trials across Greater Manchester, the North West and the UK.
The successful candidate will have primary responsibility for leading on data management activities for the set-up, conduct and closure, of academic led, multi-centre trials. This will include actively contributing to the design of trials from a data management perspective, and supervising and mentoring Data Managers assigned to these trials. A key element of this role is ensuring that the clinical trials meet the requirements of all legal and regulatory obligations.
The ideal candidates will be degree educated or have extensive relevant experience of working with clinical trial data management systems and database testing procedures. Knowledge of data management activities throughout all stages of the clinical trial lifecycle is essential, as is experience of database design and build in a clinical trial setting. You must be able to work independently, managing your own workload, and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
