This exciting and challenging post is part of the Cambridge Clinical Trials Unit (CCTU) based at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The CCTU caters for all investigators of Cambridge University Health Partners (CUHP) initiating Clinical Trials of Investigational Medicinal Products under the EU Directive (CTIMPs) and other clinical trials and studies on the CCTU portfolio. The CCTU is part of the NIHR UKCRC Registered CTU Network.
You will be responsible for leading the development and on-going management of complex interactive clinical trial databases, both bespoke and proprietary electronic data capture (EDC) systems including mobile applications, and randomisation systems, as well as providing expertise for strategic development.
You will apply your extensive knowledge of data systems and programming to lead the programming team; delivering programming tasks to time, target and budget, creating and maintaining the requisite accompanying regulatory documentation and also to design and construct novel or bespoke systems as required. You will advise stakeholders on all elements of capturing, managing and extracting data.
You will line-manage the current team of database programmers.
This post is an 18-month fixed term contract/secondment in the first instance.
