Web Based Electronic Patient Reported Outcome Systems

Has anyone ever used a standalone electronic patient questionnaire system. I have a trial that is desperate to use one but our EDC plans are at too early a phase to commit to this.

For a large multi-centre trial would any of you actually suggest using one over paper and pens? It seems a lot of things to manage (individual patient log ins, web hosting, disaster recovery, data export) to save a bit of time photocopying.

Interested in any thoughts on this.
