UKCRC Registered CTU Network Clinical Director Framework [June 2025]
This framework for clinical director role descriptions in the UKCRC Registered Clinical Trials Units Network was developed by CING, and approved by the Network’s Executive Committee. The framework is intended to: document the different models of clinical input to CTUs that exist in the Network; provide CTUs without clinical input with a framework to inform them if they wished to consider setting up a clinical director/equivalent role; and enable CTUs with a clinical director/equivalent role to reflect on their model in the light of the others available. The document is accompanied by redacted examples of a variety of role/job descriptions for directors that were kindly shared by CTU Directors as part of the consultation that informed this framework.
Checklist for Chief Investigator Engagement [February 2018]

The document is designed to support the relationship between the chief investigator and the clinical trials unit. It has been adapted by some clinical trials unit around the UK. A fully editable version of this document may be obtained by emailing regctus@leeds.ac.uk.
